Nach seinem ersten, in Dänemark verbrachten Zuchtjahr, stellte er seine hervorragenden Qualitäten beim 70-Tage-Test in Schliekau unter Beweis, welchen er im Herbst 2007 erfolgreich absolvierte. Wilkens verbindet überdurchschnittlich hohe Rittigkeitswerte mit drei fantastischen Grundgangarten: eine leichtfüßige Trabmechanik, eine ideale Beraufgaloppade und ein großangelegter Schritt zeichnen ihn aus. Sein Vater Waterford, selbst Sigerhengst der Verdener Körung 1998 und unangefochtener Sieger seines 300-Tage-Tests in Adelheidsdorf mit 154 Punkten, lieferte bereits mehrfach hocherfolgreiche Sportpferde. Auch in der aktuellen Zuchtwertschätzung Toppliste Dressur liegt er bei 153 Punkten mit an der Spitze. Wilkens Mutter St.Pr.St. Feine Dame brachte neun Fohlen in elf Zuchtjahren zur Welt, darunter auch Petrocelli (VA) v. Prince Thatch xx, Springen bis Kl. M?A siegreich. Weiterhin aus dem Muttertamm hervorgegangen sind mehrere geköort Hengste, wie z. B. PB Amoroso Assai und PB Akito, in Springen bis Kl. S erfolgreich. |

| Wilkens was awarded Premium at his stallion licensing in Verden in 2006 & was one of the auction highlights selling for the third highest price. He spent 2007 breeding in Denmark where he also licensed Danish warmblood. 2008 will be the first year he is availble for breeding worldwide. Wilkens combines above-average rideability with three fantastic basic gaits: a light-footed trot, an uphill canter and an excellent walk. He has recently succesfully completed his 70 day test. Wilkens dam St. Pr. St. Feine Dame has bred 9 foals in 11 years including Petrocelli(Prince Thatch xx), who was sold through Verden auction & is now winning at M class show jumping. Also from this dam line are several licensed stallions including PB Amoroso Assai and PB Akito, who is also successfully competing in S class jumping. Wilkens' first foals are due in 2008. |

Waterford is ranked 9th (2007) in the German Dressage Breeding Index with a breeding value of 153. |
